Sheet Metal Foreman (HVAC)

Location: Arden, North Carolina, in the Asheville area; local candidates only. This is an onsite role for a permanent, full-time position and is not intended for travelling tradespeople.

What you will do

• Lead Sheet Metal Journeymen and Apprentices on commercial construction projects.
• Enforce safe work practices and PPE requirements across the job site.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, then lay out and install ductwork.
• Assign tasks and coordinate materials to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
• Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and project documentation.
• Train crew members on the job and properly finish and seal ductwork.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of sheet metal installation experience.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC and ductwork codes and best practices.
• Ability to lead a crew, complete projects on schedule, and make project-impacting decisions.
• Ability to work in heat, cold, bad weather, confined spaces, and indoor or outdoor environments.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday and lift or carry up to 60 pounds.
• Reliable attendance, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending, and overhead work; employment is drug-free.
