What you will do

• Safely navigate and operate vessels under 45 metres in accordance with maritime regulations and company guidelines.
• Manage vessel preparation, underway operations, finishing procedures, crew attendance, and performance.
• Ensure passenger safety and satisfaction while directing crew members in their operational duties.
• Enforce vessel security, manage security threats and emergency situations, and oversee security screening.
• Maintain vessel systems, machinery, auxiliary systems, cleanliness, service readiness, and accurate documentation.
• Manage crew compliance, training, drills, Safety Management Systems, and safe-work reporting.

Requirements

• Current Master under 45 metres certification and current MED2 certification.
• Certificate of Local Knowledge for Port Jackson.
• Current First Aid Certificate and Certificate of Medical Fitness from AMSA or an equivalent authority.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Sound line-handling, seamanship, vessel-handling, machinery-maintenance, and auxiliary-systems skills.
• Strong organisation, motivation, personal presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
