Team Lead Maritime/Principal Maritime Engineer

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership across maritime and coastal engineering projects.
• Support the delivery of major ports, harbours, coastal and defence infrastructure projects across Australia.
• Lead or support project management and multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Develop client and industry relationships and contribute to business development, bids and strategic pursuits.
• Prepare studies, designs, technical reports, specifications and project documentation.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with the National Maritime leadership team to grow maritime capability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Significant experience in maritime and coastal engineering.
• Experience designing, assessing and delivering ports, harbours and marine infrastructure.
• Strong consulting, engineering or project delivery experience with client and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience leading projects, mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership.
• Eligibility to work on Australian Defence-related projects is required; Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances are highly regarded.

Nice to have

• Chartered Engineer (CPEng) status or eligibility.
• Experience with Strand7, STAAD.Pro, SESAM or OPTIMOOR.
• Experience in Defence, transport, infrastructure or related industries.
