Demand Planner (Supply Chain)

Location: Hybrid in Brampton, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 71,596–110,257 for non-sales roles; CAD 73,043–112,487 for sales roles.

What you will do

• Build item-, account-, and regional-level baseline forecasts using statistical models, forecasting software, historical sales, POS, shipment, and market data.
• Analyze product life cycles, promotional activity, inventory changes, category trends, media plans, and service-level impacts to improve forecast quality.
• Lead monthly consensus forecast reviews with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and executive stakeholders.
• Develop annual and quarterly financial forecasts, including pricing, cannibalization, competitive activity, product discontinuations, and promotional assumptions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly forecast KPI, accuracy, error, trend, and business-health reports, escalating issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Facilitate Demand Review modules within the Canadian S&OP/IBP process and support gap management, inventory turnover, customer service, and shipment targets.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or Sales Forecasting, preferably in a CPG environment.
• Experience analyzing demand trends, forecast accuracy, bias, root causes, inventory risks, and forecast changes.
• Understanding of demand forecasting concepts, metrics, competencies, and statistical algorithms.
• Ability to lead cross-functionally, build consensus, resolve forecast conflicts, and influence without authority.
• Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, multitasking, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in ambiguous circumstances while managing business risk and uncertainty.
