Assistant, General Manager

Location: Onsite in Coteau-du-Lac, Quebec, Canada. Monday to Friday, first shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule to be confirmed.

Salary: CAD $87,601.67–$124,609.76 per year.

What you will do

• Direct receiving, storage, shipping, returns, damaged goods handling, maintenance, and administrative warehouse activities.
• Plan labor, schedule staffing, coach employees, and develop direct reports to achieve operational objectives.
• Prepare, maintain, and communicate operational standard operating procedures and performance reports.
• Manage safety, security, housekeeping, sanitation, equipment preventative maintenance, and facility maintenance programs.
• Monitor budgets, purchasing compliance, service-level agreements, key performance indicators, and customer service results.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and cross-functional process improvement projects, presenting data and solutions to internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of supply chain management experience and five years in logistics environments using WMS and RF technology; Manhattan Associates experience is preferred.
• Three years of experience implementing continuous improvement programs.
• Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced operations with a focus on measurable performance metrics.
• Strong communication, presentation, customer relationship, mentoring, and team collaboration skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Functional French, written and spoken, is required for incumbents residing in Quebec. Ability to perform warehouse physical tasks, including lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with forward or reverse logistics operations.
• Experience managing full profit and loss financials.
• Technical competency in Lean, Kaizen/Work-out, process management, change management, and advanced statistical analysis.
