Inventory Demand Planning & Item Master Data Specialist

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of inventory SKU records across multiple sites in an enterprise asset management platform such as IBM Maximo.
• Maintain naming conventions, asset hierarchies, units of measure, Min-EOQ parameters, commodity classifications, BOMs, and rotating item links.
• Perform data-quality audits, remove duplicates, correct inconsistencies, and maintain vendor cross-references.
• Calculate and optimize reorder points, safety stock, and Min/Max levels using lead times and seasonal demand patterns.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Planners and Engineering to forecast spare-parts demand for overhauls and plant shutdowns.
• Own automated replenishment requests and track inventory turnover, dead stock, and stock-out metrics.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of supply chain experience, including at least 2 years working with inventory or item modules.
• Experience in an asset-intensive environment such as metal recycling, heavy manufacturing, mining, production, or heavy industrial logistics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Power Query, and Pivot Tables.
• Experience with MS Access, VBA coding, SQL, and large inventory-data extraction and system-upload processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or professional college diploma in Supply Chain Management, Operations Logistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and confidence in negotiating priorities between data standards and urgent business needs.
