DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: USA-WI-Corporate Headquarters; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates, infrastructure modules, and automated delivery workflows.
• Provision and maintain Google Cloud Platform infrastructure with Terraform and support Google Kubernetes Engine environments.
• Package and deploy cloud-native applications using Kubernetes and Helm across development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Participate in troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation of recurring reliability and security issues.
• Collaborate with software engineering, QA, IT, security, and platform stakeholders while documenting infrastructure, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related role.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, Linux administration and troubleshooting, and experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience with GitLab, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and a major cloud provider, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or a similar scripting or programming language, plus understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and load balancing.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Helm, Docker, Kubernetes manifests, distributed tracing, or Google Cloud Trace.
• Experience supporting security, compliance, or regulated environments.
• Agile or product-driven development experience and relevant cloud, DevOps, or Kubernetes certifications.
