Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: All remote locations; US citizenship and ability to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance required

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Pulumi.
• Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters and Helm charts for complex applications and services.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and operational tasks.
• Collaborate with platform engineering and cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement infrastructure best practices.
• Build secure and resilient environments aligned with Department of Defense and Zero Trust principles.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues across multiple environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, or CRI-O.
• Hands-on experience administering and securing Kubernetes environments and Helm charts.
• Scripting experience with Ansible, Python, Bash, or similar tools.
• Strong Linux and SELinux system administration skills, including system and security context configurations.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows and understanding of container socket security implications.

Nice to have

• Security+, CISSP, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist certification.
• Familiarity with Department of Defense security practices and hardened Linux distributions.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers.
