Software Engineer - CI/CD (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads across development, test, and production environments.
• Implement Kubernetes platform capabilities including RBAC, networking, ingress, secrets, autoscaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Package and deploy services with Helm and Kustomize, automate environments with infrastructure as code, and apply repeatable release strategies.
• Embed DevSecOps controls, GitOps standards, observability, incident practices, and software supply-chain security.
• Partner with application teams on onboarding and troubleshooting, and document reusable platform patterns, templates, and golden paths.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• 2–10 years of experience in CI/CD and Kubernetes-focused engineering, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise covering core objects, scheduling, RBAC, networking, storage, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Helm, Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool, Docker/OCI platforms, registries, and image lifecycle management.
• Proficiency with Linux and Bash or Python scripting, distributed-systems debugging, pipeline security controls, and observability tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience with NGA CORE, GitOps using Argo CD or Flux, multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters, policy as code, service mesh, and zero-trust network segmentation.
• Background in platform hardening, artifact signing, provenance, SBOM workflows, compliance, and ATO/RMF/NIST processes.
• Experience supporting Kubernetes across multiple security domains or networks in government or intelligence-community environments.
• Large-scale software development experience with technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Spark, Jenkins, and Docker.
