DevOps Engineer

What you will do

• Automate and optimize service deployments across development, staging, test, and production environments.
• Architect, build, administer, and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, distributed services, autoscaling, authentication integrations, and platform maintenance.
• Establish monitoring, aggregate logs, analyze system performance, and respond to security and operational incidents.
• Improve CI/CD, configuration management, security hardening, vulnerability testing, documentation, and operational readiness.
• Participate in SAFe and Scrum teams, weekly readiness meetings, and on-call support.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance are required, with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
• Relevant degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may offset the degree requirement.
• Experience with container images and platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift.
• Knowledge of DevOps and application development processes, GitLab or comparable CI tools, microservice architecture, and deployment automation.
• Working knowledge of Python, Bash, and shell scripting, plus networking, load balancers, firewalls, and virtual and physical infrastructure.
• Experience deploying on-premises infrastructure, with strong troubleshooting, communication, time management, and independent-work skills.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying to Kubernetes with GitLab and Helm.
• Knowledge of IAM, S3 buckets, SSH, VPNs, and security groups.
• Ability to write and use unit and functional tests.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
