Electrical Maintenance Tech - 3rd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Charter Wire – 7850 N. 81st Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. On-site third shift: 10:00 PM–8:00 AM, Sunday night through Thursday morning.

Salary: $40+ per hour based on experience. Additional $5,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Diagnose equipment issues using blueprints, electrical schematics, code books, technical manuals, and testing equipment.
• Support line setups, inspections, electrical testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional operations teams to keep production running efficiently.
• Follow safety procedures, use required PPE, and participate in ongoing training.

Requirements

• Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience, a related technical degree, or a journeyman’s card.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and code books.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, controls, and electrical codes.
• Experience with line setups, inspections, and electrical testing equipment.
• Solid math skills, including fractions, percentages, and measurements.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including regular lifting of up to 60 pounds and occasional lifting of over 100 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLCs and drives, particularly Allen Bradley or Siemens.
• Knowledge of AC/DC motors, HVAC, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
• Experience with welding and torch equipment and precision measuring tools.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
