Electro Mechanical Technician - Afternoons

Location: Lakewood, New Jersey, USA; onsite, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

Base pay: $40.79/hour plus shift differential; bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Install, test, repair, and replace electrical circuits, motors, lighting fixtures, breakers, transformers, wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus.
• Operate and maintain high-voltage switchgear, motor control centers, PLCs, relay controls, analog controls, and process sensors.
• Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, mills, and related components.
• Troubleshoot variable frequency drives, PLC-based control systems, instrumentation, ground faults, and equipment malfunctions.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, work notifications, and facility maintenance activities.
• Work with the controls engineer and management to identify hazards, recommend equipment upgrades, and maintain safe production operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum five years of experience as an industrial electrician, with mechanical equipment repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power and control, AC/DC motors, PLCs, relay and analog control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical principles.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and use electrical measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of NEC and UL standards, Allen Bradley controls, motor controls, and process sensors.
• Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing facilities and comply with FDA/GMP, SOP, JSA, and safety requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer packaged goods, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Black Seal boiler operator license or willingness to obtain one.
• Forklift operating experience.
