Electro Mechanical Technician – Weekends (Industrial Electrical)

Location: Lakewood, New Jersey, USA; onsite weekend schedule

Salary: $40.79/hour base pay plus $1.75/hour shift differential; bonus eligible

What you will do

• Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical circuits, motors, lighting, breakers, transformers, wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus.
• Operate and maintain high-voltage switchgear, motor control centers, PLCs, relay controls, analog controls, process sensors, and variable frequency drives.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, mills, seals, gaskets, bearings, and sumps.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, equipment upgrades, and facility maintenance activities.
• Read blueprints and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics; create work notifications in the Maintenance Management System.
• Work with the controls engineer and maintenance team while enforcing plant safety, GMP, SOP, JSA, PPE, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least five years of industrial electrician experience, with additional experience repairing mechanical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power and control systems, AC/DC motors, PLCs, relay and analog controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment, use electrical measuring instruments and hand tools, and install machinery, controls, conduit, and wiring.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, and knowledge of NEC, UL standards, and Allen-Bradley controls.
• Ability to work the required onsite schedule: Thursday and Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 AM–11:00 PM.

Nice to have

• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing, consumer goods, food, or pharmaceutical environments.
• Ability to demonstrate compliance with FDA and GMP requirements.
• Black Seal boiler operator license or willingness to obtain one.
• Forklift operation experience.
