Production Supervisor -Afternoon Shift, Overhead (Lean Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Supervise manufacturing employees, assign manpower and materials, monitor production schedules, and report departmental performance.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, morale, inventory, resource utilization, and delivery performance.
• Manage time and attendance, headcount planning, employee feedback, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and employment recommendations.
• Monitor work orders, inventory transactions, scrap, rework, and past-due orders; investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop training requirements and maintain training matrices and records for onboarding, cross-training, TWI, and ISO activities.
• Lead safety, incident reporting, accident investigations, audits, 6S standards, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with Supply Chain, Engineering, Safety, and manufacturing support teams.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years directing an hourly or manufacturing workforce.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge and leadership experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5P, or other continuous improvement models, including participation in improvement projects.
• Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus experience with a business planning and inventory system.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, negotiation, organization, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.
