Production Supervisor, Assembly - A Shift (Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. A-Shift hours are 6:45 AM–7:30 PM on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday.

What you will do

• Lead daily assembly shift operations in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Assign work, maintain standardized work instructions, and deliver production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, 6S, continuous improvement, and plant-wide SQDCP initiatives.
• Train, coach, and supervise Skilled Machine Technicians while addressing performance and employee-relations issues.
• Investigate quality issues, contain defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Enforce safety, PPE, control plan, PFMEA, and operational compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment, or 2 years as a PECNA Process Lead.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 6S, continuous improvement, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Effective communication skills, resilience, and ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working-level English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher and OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification.
• Five or more years of leadership experience in lithium-ion, electronics, chemical, or regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with PFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, ERP/MES systems, or SQDCP metrics.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills, including Japanese or Spanish.
