Warehouse & Shipping Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Charter Steel - Saukville, Wisconsin, United States; full-time onsite position

What you will do

• Direct inbound receiving, coil storage, material handling, and outbound shipping operations.
• Maintain a safe, high-quality working environment while reducing scrap, handling issues, and logistics costs.
• Lead employee scheduling, performance management, training, coaching, hiring recommendations, and succession planning.
• Improve inventory accuracy, including inventory locations, movement, status, and disposition.
• Optimize coil storage capacity and oversee material handling equipment planning, utilization, and performance.
• Manage the operating budget, performance reporting, warehouse management system enhancements, and supply chain metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, logistics certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of management experience and strong employee leadership capabilities.
• Ability to understand complex production operations and their impact on logistics.
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, organizational, and professional development skills.
• Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office features and warehouse management systems.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of shipping and warehouse management experience.
• Industrial logistics management experience.
• Experience with Oracle warehouse management systems.
• Six Sigma training.
