Process Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

Salary: CAD 87,000–108,000 per year

What you will do

• Design public and private municipal servicing projects, including sewage pumping stations, water booster stations, elevated tanks, reservoirs, and water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, presentations, regulatory applications, construction specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate designs with municipalities, utilities, approval agencies, clients, and other stakeholders to secure required approvals.
• Assist with project scope, budgets, staffing, schedules, proposals, change orders, and client communications.
• Support construction through inspections, contract administration, submittal reviews, responses to information requests, and document clarifications.
• Perform constructability reviews and project quality assurance and quality control, while mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• P.Eng. licensure with P.E.O.
• 5–7 years of experience delivering wastewater infrastructure projects, including pumping stations, reservoirs, elevated tanks, and water or wastewater treatment plants.
• Ability to complete engineering tasks accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Client-focused approach, strong collaboration skills, and commitment to technical excellence, innovation, integrity, and sustainable solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Master Planning, Class Environmental Assessments, DWWP, or the ECA process in Ontario, or equivalent experience in another province.
• Contract administration experience.
