Change Management Consultant (Analyst) - Defence

Location: Hybrid in Bristol, with attendance at a client site or office at least two days per week; client sites are in the Southwest along the M4 corridor.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain business change plans for large digital Defence transformation programmes.
• Update change management strategies based on programme realities, operational needs, and identified risks.
• Conduct change maturity, adoption, and change-load assessments across Defence Lines of Development.
• Facilitate workshops and events, use visualisation tools, and create change communications for diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborate with programme leaders, multidisciplinary teams, external partners, government agencies, and the Defence community.
• Maintain client relationships, manage expectations, mentor junior colleagues, and support knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Experience delivering change within digital or large transformation programmes.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across government and Defence environments.
• Expertise in change management methodologies and tools, with strong analytical, risk-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work at pace, meet high standards, and deliver to tight deadlines.
• Applicants for relevant UK roles must meet security-clearance requirements, including British citizenship or at least five years of continuous UK residency where higher national security vetting is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in Defence or similarly complex operational organisations.
• Consulting or consortium/blended-team experience.
• Relevant change management certification, such as APMG Change Management or Prosci.
