Baking Center Manager

Location: Guangzhou, Guangdong, China; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Manage and develop the local Baking Center team through training, performance evaluation, objective setting, recruitment participation, and salary review involvement.
• Plan Baking Center activities and resources across short- and long-term horizons, including OPEX and CAPEX budgeting and technical investments.
• Organize technical support for internal and external customers, including troubleshooting, product launches, recipe creation, customer visits, seminars, and trainings.
• Conduct baking trials, quality control activities, cost-in-use and recipe cost calculations, and technical assistance in customer facilities.
• Monitor customer feedback, consumer habits, competitors, market trends, and new products, and report relevant findings to sales and regional management.
• Coordinate reporting on Baking Center activities and KPIs while maintaining facility, equipment, hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, cereal science, or a related field combined with bakery education or experience; a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leading position in a bakery or comparable industry.
• Fluent English in writing and speaking is required.
• Practical baking experience and specialist knowledge of baking theory, baking practice, project management, client relations, and training.
• Experience managing teams, HR activities, projects, materials, finances, reporting, events, and customer-oriented technical services.
• Strong planning, organization, communication, networking, analytical, creative, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
