Assistant Superintendent - Healthcare (HCAI) - OC/LA/IE

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and direct field construction activities for healthcare projects.
• Coordinate construction teams, subcontractors, owners, contractors, and design professionals.
• Maintain CPM schedules, plan materials and tools, and manage supply allotment.
• Set quality-control standards, review drawings and specifications, and manage punch lists.
• Enforce safety procedures, verify subcontractor insurance certificates, and prepare project reports.
• Coordinate start-up testing, final closeout, owner turnover, and acceptance.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience including 2–4 years as a general foreman.
• Extensive field construction experience at a supervisory level.
• Working knowledge of all construction crafts and the ability to read specifications for all trades.
• Experience as a foreman or journeyman in at least one trade, or as a project engineer.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws, job scheduling, planning, expediting, cost control, and problem-solving.
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor certification, or achievement of the certification within six months of hire, with active certification maintained.
