Project Superintendent - Healthcare Construction

Location: Sterling, Virginia, in the DC Metro / Northern Virginia region; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $95,000–$125,000 annually, plus vehicle allowance and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead on-site field operations and represent the contractor throughout active construction.
• Manage renovations and construction in occupied healthcare facilities while protecting patients and maintaining hospital operations.
• Develop phasing, shutdown, temporary utility, containment, and site logistics plans.
• Coordinate with hospital personnel, clinical departments, infection prevention teams, designers, facility staff, and trade contractors.
• Implement safety programs and enforce OSHA standards, hospital policies, ICRA, ILSM, Joint Commission expectations, and healthcare regulations.
• Coordinate inspections, permitting, commissioning, critical submittals, punch lists, and quality closeout activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least five years of commercial construction experience in a Foreman or Superintendent leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience managing healthcare construction projects, including renovations in occupied hospitals, medical offices, ambulatory care facilities, or surgical centers.
• Experience coordinating work around active patient care environments and critical building systems.
• Knowledge of ICRA, ILSM, infection prevention, containment, utility shutdowns, healthcare accreditation, life safety, and regulatory compliance.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available. Successful pre-employment drug and background screening is also required.
