TL;DR

Structural Designer (Construction) (Civil Engineering/Structural Design): Producing accurate, code-compliant structural component layouts, design models, and engineering calculations from construction documents with an accent on buildability, material optimization, and design quality. Focus on interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, applying IBC/IRC requirements and load standards, and updating designs within project deadlines.

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; full-time onsite position

What you will do

Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to create component layouts and structural designs.
Use CS Truss Studio, Cornerstone, Vertex, CAD tools, and other specialized software to develop design models, layout plans, and engineering calculations.
Deliver assigned design work within agreed timelines and update designs based on revision instructions.
Ensure solutions are practical, buildable, manufacturable, and aligned with project requirements.
Apply IBC/IRC building codes, engineering standards, and load requirements.
Perform self-checks, correct errors, and communicate design questions or uncertainties with the team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
English proficiency at B1 CEFR level is required.
Proficiency with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
Ability to understand architectural and engineering construction documents.
Strong attention to detail, organization, teamwork, independent working ability, and readiness to meet tight deadlines.
Freshers and entry-level candidates are welcome; more than one year of experience is an advantage.

Nice to have

Experience in wood truss design.
Knowledge of MiTek and ITW wood truss design software.
