Electrical Supervisor (Crane Systems)

Location: Onsite in Vung Tau, Vietnam, with occasional travel across Vietnam. The role involves on-site work and participation in crane loading and unloading activities.

What you will do

• Supervise subcontractors performing electrical installations for port cranes and related equipment.
• Provide electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, root cause analysis, and technical guidance on electrical issues.
• Manage software uploads and updates and maintain current system configurations.
• Test and commission crane functions, safety circuits, sensors, and limit switches.
• Coordinate with hirify.global engineering and project management teams and report installation or operational nonconformities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety practices, legal requirements, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of industrial electrical experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation and perform advanced troubleshooting.
• Leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and safety-focused working practices.
• Native Vietnamese and B2 English are required for communication with international teams and work with technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with RTG, RMG, or STS crane electrical systems.
• Knowledge of Siemens PLCs, ABB drives, and fieldbus communication systems.
• Training in industrial automation, PLC programming, or power systems.
• Project planning, coordination, or multicultural team leadership experience.
• Working at Height certification.
