Materials Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead planning, sourcing, production flow, and inventory control for the plant.
• Set inventory investment and target levels, monitor compliance, and organize physical inventory or cycle counting.
• Manage manufacturing data, including bills of materials, routings, forecasts, item costs, and MRP parameters.
• Track orders, take corrective action to maintain schedules, and meet service-level requirements.
• Develop supplier relationships, manage purchase orders and invoicing, and monitor budget adherence.
• Coordinate with central planning and global sourcing teams to improve service levels, inventory turns, working capital, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in materials functions within manufacturing operations.
• Experience leading or participating in continuous improvement initiatives, including TPS or similar methodologies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to plan and achieve short- and long-term goals.
• Comprehensive experience with ERP systems, specifically M3, for inventory control, scheduling, and forecasting.
• Customer orientation and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience with Logility supply chain software.
