Materials Manager (Supply Chain)

Location: East Syracuse, NY, USA; full-time onsite role

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, plus a target 10% profit-sharing bonus and 401(k) matching up to 8%. A relocation package may be available for qualified candidates.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end materials planning and MRP execution across finished goods, subassemblies, and components.
• Optimize planning parameters, master data, reorder logic, and system settings to improve material flow and planning accuracy.
• Manage shortages, supply risks, recovery plans, and intercompany material flows across global hirify.global sites.
• Lead the monthly SIOP process across demand, supply, inventory, and financial plans, including executive updates and an 12–18-month planning horizon.
• Oversee demand and capacity planning, forecast integration, and RCCP analysis to identify constraints and mitigation opportunities.
• Define inventory and safety-stock policies while leading, coaching, and developing the planning organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in materials management, production planning, or supply chain operations.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and material planning processes.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, production planning, and supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• SAP experience in materials or production planning.
• Exposure to SIOP/S&OP processes.
• APICS certification or Lean Six Sigma experience.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment, precision instruments, medical devices, analytical technology, aerospace/defense, or other complex manufacturing environments.
