What you will do

• Forecast engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements and communicate demand to suppliers.
• Coordinate materials core teams and product development deliverables across buyers, planners, production control, and engineering.
• Create, release, and update materials strategies for new projects and execute commercialization transition plans.
• Support supplier selection, price and delivery negotiations, risk assessments, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Manage materials change control, cost targets, total landed cost indicators, and quality issue resolution.
• Identify critical and long-lead parts, define inspection requirements, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and commodity management teams.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in materials or a related discipline, with basic knowledge of adjacent functions.
• Knowledge of functional best practices and how materials management integrates with other business areas.
• Ability to solve complex problems using multiple information sources and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus across teams.
• Ability to act as a resource for less-experienced colleagues and lead small projects.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
