Material Control Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead material planning, procurement coordination, supplier performance, and material availability for manufacturing operations.
• Manage inventory control systems, safety stock, replenishment strategies, audits, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.
• Direct receiving, warehousing, material handling, storage, shipping, transportation coordination, and facility material flow.
• Support production schedules, product launches, ramp-ups, shortages, supply disruptions, and alternative sourcing plans.
• Lead and develop material planners, inventory specialists, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and material handling personnel.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, cost reduction, safety, compliance, budgeting, and operational performance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, operations, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ERP, MRP, inventory control, warehouse management, production planning, procurement, supplier development, and material flow.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills, with strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and financial abilities.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the applicable country without employer-sponsored immigration support now or in the future.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience in fabrication, welding, industrial, automotive, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with multi-shift manufacturing environments and systems such as SAP, Oracle, QAD, BPCS/AS400, Mendix, or Power BI.
