Supervisor, Production - Weld (Nights Mon. - Fri. 5pm - 3:30pm)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States; full-time night shift, Monday–Friday, 5:00 p.m.–3:30 a.m., working onsite in a manufacturing facility.

What you will do

• Assign daily production tasks, coordinate workflow, and track manufacturing deadlines.
• Inspect finished welds for compliance with blueprints, AWS, ASME, ISO, and other applicable standards.
• Enforce PPE requirements, conduct safety audits, and maintain a clean 6S work environment.
• Hire, train, mentor, evaluate, and manage the performance of welding personnel, including disciplinary matters.
• Oversee welding, cutting, and assembly operations using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes.
• Maintain welding procedure specifications and employee certification records.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on welding experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AWS welding codes, metallurgy, blueprints, and NDT methods.
• Proficiency with MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding processes.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and train a diverse team while maintaining accountability.
• Ability to work around extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal, and heavy forklift traffic, and lift up to 50 pounds.

• AWS Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS) certification.
