General Manager (Retail Property Management)

Location: White Oaks Mall, Springfield, Illinois, United States; onsite, full-time

Salary: $90,000–$141,114.69 per year

What you will do

• Lead the shopping center’s business performance, revenue growth, profitability, and asset enhancement.
• Develop and execute the property’s strategic business plan and drive EBITDA growth through revenue generation, expense management, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with leasing and marketing teams to support occupancy, tenant retention, retailer sales, property traffic, and customer experiences.
• Build relationships with tenants and community stakeholders while representing the property in the local community.
• Oversee property operations, maintenance, safety, security, emergency preparedness, presentation, and customer experience.
• Support tenant openings, construction projects, and redevelopment initiatives while developing and retaining a high-performing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
• 3–5+ years of leadership experience in shopping centers, retail, hospitality, commercial real estate, or a related customer-focused environment.
• Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and operational results.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and improve profitability.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and work in a dynamic environment.
