Project Engineer II (IT Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource plans with clients, project managers, and internal teams.
• Provide technical direction and hands-on implementation for network infrastructure, cloud services, hardware, software, and other IT solutions.
• Design, configure, test, and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
• Act as the primary technical contact for clients, addressing requirements, risks, implementation issues, and project expectations.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, setup guides, configuration records, and post-implementation reports.
• Provide client training, post-project troubleshooting, system optimization, maintenance support, and upgrade assistance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience implementing IT infrastructure, preferably in an MSP or similar environment.
• Experience with network infrastructure, server configuration, virtualization, storage, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and network security.
• Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Scripting ability in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages for task automation.
• Proven technical project delivery experience, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective client communication.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect certification.
• VMware Certified Professional, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or another relevant certification.
