Sourcing and Procurement Consultant (Defence & Security)

Location: Bristol, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least 2 days per week in the office or on a client site, and up to 5 days per week on a client site depending on the assignment.

What you will do

• Deliver high-impact strategic sourcing and procurement consulting projects for public- and private-sector defence clients.
• Help transform sourcing teams and develop innovative procurement strategies.
• Support complex, multi-billion-pound procurement programmes.
• Advise clients on using technology and data to accelerate sourcing processes.
• Manage supplier service delivery arrangements and improve sourcing relationships.
• Work with stakeholders to develop solutions that achieve value-for-money business outcomes.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in strategic sourcing and/or procurement delivery.
• Experience leading or supporting transformation initiatives in complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience navigating complex procurement processes within the defence sector.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and commercial skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Applicants for relevant UK roles must meet security-clearance residency requirements, including British citizenship or at least 5 years of continuous UK residency where applicable.

Nice to have

• CIPS, MCIPS, IACCM, or an equivalent sourcing qualification.
• Prior consulting experience in a sourcing context.
