HV Training and Technical Support Specialist

Location: Remote - California, United States; remote support may be required 24/7, including a rotational on-call schedule with weekends or after-hours situations.

Salary: $113,100–$141,375 annually.

What you will do

• Develop high-voltage technical training materials with the Technical Support Supervisor and internal teams.
• Support OCC and O&M work processes through power systems analysis and operational guidance.
• Generate and approve test plans and review or approve high-voltage acceptance and maintenance test reports.
• Provide daytime and on-call technical support to OCC personnel and field technicians.
• Support remote EPC startup, commissioning, O&M testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare and present subject-matter advice, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and NERC misoperations reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of testing and commissioning experience.
• Demonstrated ability to train and develop others and to identify and mitigate work hazards.
• Computer skills, including the ability to operate system testing applications and electrical test equipment.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills required.
• Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, ability to operate a company vehicle, and CPR/First Aid training.
