Sr Applications Engineer, Foundation Services (Heavy Machinery)

Location: Remote in Minnesota, USA; frequent travel to project sites, including up to 80% travel domestically and internationally.

Salary: $115,000–$125,000 annual salary.

What you will do

• Develop, launch, and execute the Equipment Wellness Inspection Program across project sites.
• Develop and operate the Drill Engineering Service, including drilling parameters, equipment monitoring, and automated installation optimization.
• Lead hands-on resolution of complex technical, mechanical, installation, equipment, and operational issues.
• Conduct field testing, root-cause analysis, and site audits, converting findings into product, process, and equipment improvements.
• Create troubleshooting methods, support tools, documentation, standards, and lessons-learned processes.
• Deliver technical training and customer-focused support to operators, engineers, mechanics, customers, subcontractors, and field teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with heavy machinery, foundation installation, construction-site operations, field troubleshooting, machine repair, and customer-facing technical support.
• 8+ years of experience using hardware and software tools, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and field data to improve products, equipment, testing, processes, or support practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or related Engineering; Construction Management; or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and certifications.
• Ability to work safely in outdoor construction, industrial, manufacturing, renewable-energy, and field environments.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, safely operate a motor vehicle, wear required PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong technical problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-influence, project-execution, and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
