Senior Claims Representative (Bodily Injury)

Location: Richfield, Ohio, United States. Hybrid schedule with on-site attendance four days per week and one remote day; core in-office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.

What you will do

• Manage an inventory of bodily injury claims and evaluate coverage, compensability, liability, and damages.
• Plan and conduct claim investigations and maintain accurate, detailed claim files.
• Determine and negotiate settlements and reserves within assigned authority.
• Authorize timely claim payments and communicate coverage and settlement information to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Participate in arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience handling property and casualty claims.
• Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claims procedures, industry laws, and regulations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize caseloads, resolve claims promptly, and handle confidential information discreetly.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Completed or ongoing professional designation, such as Associate in Claims (AIC).
