Location: Charter Steel, Cleveland, Ohio, United States; onsite work on rotating twelve-hour night shifts from 6pm to 6am

What you will do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain plant equipment and electrical systems.
- Maintain industrial electrical equipment, motor controls, variable frequency drives, programmable logic controllers, and related control systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and equipment testing.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, equipment performance, and operator information to resolve failures.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and respond to plant equipment needs.
- Maintain parts inventory accuracy and follow environmental, quality, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least three years of industrial electrical maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electronics, AC/DC theory, power transmission, instrumentation, variable frequency drives, PLCs, ladder logic, relay logic, motor controls, and electrical construction.
- Ability to read schematic diagrams, technical drawings, and equipment manuals to maintain and repair industrial equipment.
- Commitment to safe work practices, including lockout/tagout, fall protection, and confined-space procedures.
- Ability to work rotating twelve-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require, including in demanding plant conditions and at extreme heights.
Nice to have
- Electrical apprenticeship completion, Journeyman Electrician certification, or equivalent experience.
- Steel industry or heavy manufacturing experience.
- Experience with welding, light fabrication, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, PID control loops, or combustion-control systems.
- Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and components.
