Intermediate Building Analyst (Energy Modeling)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada — 200 Granville Street

Salary: $75,000–85,000 CAD annually

What you will do

• Perform annual building energy and parametric simulations for various building types using multiple modeling platforms, including IESVE and eQuest.
• Prepare reports for clients and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Coordinate with internal and external design team members.
• Train junior staff and review their work.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with IESVE and 3+ years in energy modeling or design analytics.
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of MEP systems and architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling software.
• Familiarity with building energy codes and green building standards, including ASHRAE, NECB, LEED, CaGBC Zero Carbon, Passive House, BC Energy Step Code, and Toronto Green Standard.
• EIT status with the ability to apply for P.Eng.

Nice to have

• BEMP, LEED AP, or CPHC/D credentials.
• Experience with energy audits and programming tools.
