Senior VDI Engineer (Citrix)

What you will do

• Design, configure, maintain, and architect a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment.
• Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators and troubleshoot complex VDI performance issues.
• Optimize desktops for platform interoperability and coordinate across VDI technologies.
• Provide endpoint support and resolve virtual desktop incidents.
• Operate across complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Conduct trade studies and recommend technical solutions and make-versus-buy decisions.

Requirements

• US citizenship, an active TS/SCI clearance, and the ability to obtain a CI polygraph are required.
• At least five years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Progressive experience advancing from administrator to senior engineer roles.
• Experience engineering and supporting legacy and current Citrix products, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.15+, PVS, MCS, CVAD, NetScaler/ADC/VPX, WEM, App Layering, and Liquidware Profile Unity.
• Experience with Hyper-V and VMware VDI environments.
• Familiarity with HP AnyConnect and Leostream.

• Windows Server clustering administration.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or Ansible.
• System Center Virtual Machine Manager or VMware vCenter 6.7.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, home directory and profile management, or desktop software provisioning.
