VDI Engineer

Location: On-site in Beavercreek, Ohio, supporting a customer at WPAFB. US citizenship and an active TS/SCI DoD clearance are required.

What you will do

• Engineer and test VDI platforms, including gold images, multi-session host pools, FSLogix profile containers, and auto-scaling rules.
• Package and deploy applications, integrate Active Directory and AWS Directory Services, administer WorkSpaces pools, and configure WSP/PCoIP streaming.
• Provision and optimize instant clones, virtualization storage layers, Horizon Connection Servers, and hybrid extensions.
• Collect latency, logon-time, and peripheral-compatibility metrics and refine virtual desktop templates using structured user feedback.
• Draft SOPs, technical design blueprints, system whitepapers, and CTO/ATO documentation packages.
• Execute STIG checklists in highly regulated enterprise environments.

Requirements

• Proficiency in VDI platform engineering and testing.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a closely related field.
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance held by the DoD.
• Experience with 10ZiG Manager or an equivalent thin-client deployment console.
• Strong technical communication and technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator.
• VMware VCP-DTM or Omnissa Horizon credentials.
