Tier 3 Data Center Engineer (VDI)

Location: Remote

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Own, support, tune, and scale VDI platforms based on Horizon and Citrix.
• Act as the senior escalation resource for complex infrastructure and VDI issues affecting performance, availability, and end-user experience.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement durable long-term resolutions.
• Review client environments, identify misconfigurations, gaps, and risks, and provide recommendations to improve stability and performance.
• Coach Tier 2 staff and support teams across virtualization, storage, networking, and disaster recovery.

Requirements

• At least seven years of hands-on engineering experience in data center environments.
• Experience maintaining large-scale VDI deployments and advanced VMware proficiency.
• Experience owning complex Tier 3 escalations across multiple client environments and leading technical discussions.
• Knowledge of enterprise storage and data protection platforms, including Pure Storage, Isilon, NetApp, Veeam, Rubrik, or Cohesity.
• Consultative approach with strong environment assessment, risk identification, communication, and client relationship skills.
