Data Center Virtualization Engineer (VMware)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate VMware virtualization platforms across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
• Manage software-defined networking and storage platforms using vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria, and Tanzu.
• Automate platform operations with PowerCLI and related automation tooling.
• Manage capacity and operate VMware environments at enterprise scale.
• Apply disaster recovery patterns and support Site Recovery Manager.
• Troubleshoot issues across compute, network, and storage layers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experience; the position lists 6+ years of overall experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, storage policy management, and NSX-T or NSX-V.
• Strong PowerCLI scripting, automation, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, and SRM experience.
• Familiarity with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container platforms.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• VCP or VCAP certification.
• Experience with VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, GCVE, VMware Cloud Foundation, or Aria Operations.
• Experience migrating from VMware to alternative virtualization platforms.
