Business Intelligence Developer

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; hybrid work may be available up to 3 days per week from home after initial in-person training

What you will do

• Create reports, data extracts, and analyses for business functions and inquiries.
• Build, maintain, and document code for transforming, aggregating, and presenting data.
• Design and implement business intelligence solutions using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Develop an understanding of data sources and data flows.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and participate in formal and informal training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong aptitude for mathematics and statistics.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL, Python, or other programming, database, or statistical languages.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting and dashboarding solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and above-average written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Actuarial studies or completed actuarial exams.
