Maintenance Electrician (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, adjust, and maintain electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Install and repair conduit, wires, cables, control panels, relays, switchboards, circuit breakers, and lighting circuits.
• Analyze circuits and wiring diagrams for electronic devices, control systems, power distribution equipment, and instrumentation.
• Perform general, preventive, and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.
• Adjust new equipment and determine repair approaches that reduce production interruptions.
• Respond to support calls and urgent maintenance situations, including evenings and weekends when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4–7 years of industrial maintenance electrical experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical devices and processes and identify root causes.
• Familiarity with robotic programming and PLC hardware and software.
• Forklift license is required; ability to operate mobile and hoisting equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work safely around moving machinery, electrical hazards, chemicals, noise, fumes, and changing weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Technical education or a journeyman electrician license.
• Skills in pneumatic and hydraulic applications.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• OSHA 29 CFR 1910.331–.335 and NFPA 70E electrical safety training.
