EPC Project Engineer (Solar Construction)

Location: Full-time onsite jobsite in San Antonio, TX, with travel required

Salary: $72,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the jobsite team and coordinate project deliverables to meet profitability and schedule goals.
• Attend project meetings, prepare minutes, and maintain project drawings, specifications, electronic files, and document logs.
• Assist with CPM schedule preparation and maintenance, quantity reporting, cost coding, estimates, and labor cost reports.
• Review and transmit submittals, manage procurement and expediting activities, and prepare change orders and extra work orders.
• Maintain site safety planning, quality management, PCI and punch list documentation, progress photos, and record drawings.
• Support BIM model administration and compile contract closeout documents, including O&M manuals and as-builts.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of construction-related experience or equivalent; construction internship experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction cost accounting, estimating, scheduling, construction means and methods, and plans and specifications.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use virtual construction technology systems.
• Effective written and verbal English communication, strong organization, independent judgment, and a self-starting approach.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Field construction experience, such as carpentry.
• Drafting and advanced computer skills.
• Knowledge of virtual construction technology systems.
