Construction Manager (Solar/BESS)

Location: US, New York, NY; generally on site 5 days a week and willing to travel

Salary: $108,000–$135,150 per year, plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Manage onsite construction of utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System projects delivered by third-party EPC contractors.
• Prepare and manage project execution plans, schedules, kickoffs, closeouts, and schedule remediation plans.
• Monitor safety, environmental impacts, QA/QC compliance, construction milestones, deliverables, and punch lists.
• Coordinate with landowners, EPC contractors, engineering teams, safety teams, regulators, and authorities on project concerns and progress.
• Review contracts, change orders, invoices, progress reports, and construction documentation.
• Conduct daily safety walks and site inspections, including drone-based photo progress updates.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of onsite utility-scale solar, battery storage, and/or substation construction management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of solar construction processes, methods, building products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; extensive knowledge of Procore is required for daily use.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week, travel as needed, work in varying climates, and complete physically demanding site inspections.
• Ability to operate drones and use Google Earth; FAA Part 107 license is a plus and may be required.
