Construction Safety Manager (Data Centers)

Location: Manassas, Virginia / Northern Virginia, United States. Occasional travel, likely less than 10%. U.S. work eligibility is required.

What you will do

• Provide safety leadership to multiple construction project teams and General Contractors as an Owner’s Safety Representative.
• Implement EHS initiatives, safety metrics, dashboards, audits, observations, and benchmarking assessments.
• Act as a subject matter expert for electrical safety, LOTO, confined spaces, work at heights, mobile equipment, scaffolding, ground disturbance, and contractor safety.
• Lead or participate in incident reviews, root cause analyses, and trend mitigation planning.
• Support compliance reviews, CAB/MOP safety integration, commissioning transition, and the handoff from construction to operations.
• Build alignment, consensus, and strong working relationships with STACK and General Contractor site teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field; experienced tradespeople with 4–8 years of safety responsibilities may also be considered.
• At least 5 years of EHS or construction trades experience and 5–10 years of construction safety experience.
• CSP, SMP, CHST, or a similar safety certification.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926, incident investigation methodology, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder engagement, project management, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with EHS software, dashboards, observation tools, Microsoft, and MS365. Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass comprehensive background screening.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center or large-scale mission-critical construction.
• Experience working with hyperscale clients.
