What you will do

  • Lead deep-dive investigations and root cause analyses of electrical infrastructure failures involving UPS systems, switchgear, breakers, relays, generators, grounding, controls, and power quality.
  • Evaluate electrical systems under abnormal, fault, and degraded conditions to identify systemic vulnerabilities and reliability risks.
  • Develop failure-mode mitigation strategies and improve uptime, event response, availability reporting, and risk trend monitoring.
  • Engage OEMs and vendors to challenge technical assumptions and drive long-term infrastructure improvements.
  • Support maintenance standards, asset strategies, technical training, design reviews, commissioning, and infrastructure turnover processes.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Construction, and Workforce Development to resolve complex technical issues and prevent repeat incidents.

Requirements

  • Strong technical expertise in power distribution, UPS systems, generators, grounding, protective relays, switchgear, controls integration, and power quality analysis.
  • Experience analyzing electrical failures using waveform data, event logs, relay coordination, commissioning findings, or forensic troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with root cause analysis and reliability methodologies such as FMEA and RCM.
  • Expertise in commissioning and infrastructure design review, including maintainability, equipment compatibility, fault response, and design intent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience with high technical competency; comprehensive background screening is required.

Culture & Benefits

  • Healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and paid leave programs.
  • 401(k), flexible spending accounts, and a cell phone subsidy.
