Regional Safety Manager

Location: Middle River, Maryland; assigned territory includes Northern Virginia and Delaware. Regular travel throughout the region is required to support field operations, safety initiatives, career fairs, and recruitment events.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor regional safety staff, including Area Safety Managers, Safety Coordinators, and Safety Specialists.
• Implement corporate safety initiatives and ensure consistent application across regional projects.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, state, local, and client-specific requirements.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and regional safety reporting.
• Partner with regional operations leadership on project planning, execution, bids, pre-job activities, and client meetings.
• Conduct field audits, inspections, and observations while supporting high-risk construction activities.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of construction safety experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry standards, and safety best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to perform physical activities including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting or carrying items up to 15 lbs.

Nice to have

• Specialty construction experience in industrial, power generation, mechanical, or heavy civil projects.
• Professional certification such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or OHST.
