TL;DR
Cybersecurity Assessment and Oversight Specialist (Cybersecurity): Performing cybersecurity assessments and managing NIST RMF controls, POA&Ms, vulnerability remediation, and DOE continuous monitoring for a regulated nuclear cleanup environment with an accent on federal compliance and mission assurance. Focus on maintaining cybersecurity dashboards, briefing leadership, and overseeing safeguards and security activities at the Hanford Field Office.

Location: Richland, Washington, United States; work is predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, with some remote support subject to approval.

What you will do

  • Perform cybersecurity assessments and provide oversight for Hanford Field Office safeguards and security activities.
  • Manage NIST Risk Management Framework controls, plans of action and milestones, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Maintain DOE continuous monitoring dashboards and support cybersecurity assessment activities.
  • Brief leadership on cybersecurity findings, controls, remediation status, and compliance matters.
  • Provide program and project management support for daily Environmental Management Sector activities.
  • Coordinate approved travel and support work in a regulated, high-stakes nuclear cleanup environment.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including DOE or federal experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience with NIST RMF, POA&Ms, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Facility Clearance is required; a DOE clearance may be required for classified work.
  • HSPD-12 credentialing is required.
  • Analytical, discreet, responsive, organized, and effective in stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

  • CISSP or CISM certification.
  • Environmental Management Sector experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
