Cyber Security SME (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Support federal customer cybersecurity, information assurance, and systems security requirements.
• Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments, hands-on security testing, and analysis of test results.
• Review system requirements, architecture, design documents, test plans, security plans, and related program documentation.
• Develop security evaluation test plans, procedures, standard operating procedures, and compliance artifacts.
• Identify threats, vulnerabilities, risks, and mitigation countermeasures while coordinating with infrastructure, engineering, and program teams.
• Brief leadership and participate in technical exchange meetings, documenting decisions, actions, and results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business management, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of cybersecurity experience with comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Extensive knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations, NIST, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53 controls, FedRAMP baselines, and agency policies.
• Experience developing and maintaining system- and enterprise-level information assurance documentation and supporting security engineering activities.
• CISSP or an equivalent cybersecurity certification, such as Security+.
• Active Secret clearance is required.

• Experience supporting federal contracts.
• Experience coordinating with system owners, ISSOs, architecture teams, and cybersecurity leadership.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills for explaining technical risks to executive and government stakeholders.
