EPC Project Manager, Utility Scale Solar (Tonopah, AZ)

Location: Full-time onsite jobsite in Tonopah, AZ; extensive travel required, including remote and rural assignments.

Salary: $110,448–$138,060 per year.

What you will do

• Plan and execute major scopes of self-performed utility-scale solar construction with superintendent teams and large labor crews.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost forecasting, procurement, buyout, reporting, and project controls.
• Prepare and negotiate owner change orders, subcontract agreements, material purchases, claims, and project billings.
• Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, contract labor providers, and project partners to maintain manpower, materials, logistics, and schedule performance.
• Lead risk management, contract compliance, safety planning, quality control, documentation, close-out, and warranty follow-up.
• Build relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams while managing and mentoring project staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture preferred.
• 5–8 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of utility-scale PV plant construction methods, sequencing, techniques, and utility and ISO interconnection timelines.
• Thorough understanding of scheduling, cost control, procurement, estimating, contract law, and project accounting.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work full-time at the Tonopah jobsite and travel extensively, with a minimum of 50% travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bluebeam Revu and other industry-standard construction tools.
• CMiC experience.
